Are you longing for a space to be held?

Dear one,

I'd like to ask you a question if you allow me - what has your heart been holding? What stories has your body been storing? How are you really, underneath the masks, titles and the impossible societal expectations? I'm asking, because I know the human experience often carries with it pain - pain that we sometimes don't know how to hold. So we bury it inside, hoping it will disappear. That maybe if we work hard enough, if we do all the things we're told we're supposed to - we'll finally arrive. Seduced by the personal development trends and constant chase of the next level we sometimes lose parts of ourselves. Because maybe no-one taught us how to grow our capacity to sit with the stories and truths our body buried. The pain of past experiences keeps growing inside, so we disconnect more and more - still hoping that if we reach the nest level it will all go away. We forget that what we're looking for isn't out there - it's in here - in our heart and our body. Beneath the protective layers we've build. In day to day life, the disconnection from ourselves can manifest as:

  • feeling on edge

  • somatic medically unexplained physical symptoms

  • relational difficulties

  • depression, loss of motivation / purpose

  • anxiety / worry

  • low self-worth and confidence

It can feel like you are alone in all of this, and no-one understands what you're really going through. You may feel stuck or overwhelmed by life and the state of the world. You don't want to tell the people close to you the full truth of how you feel. So you keep it inside - trying your best to find a way out. Perhaps you search the internet in hope of finding the answer. Maybe a book or a course or a new method that will bring back the old you. Only to be disappointed in the constant search for the "breakthrough". 

 

The healing path shouldn't be so complicated. Or confusing. I believe in simplicity - in finding a way back to reconnect to the wisdom of your own body & create a life rhythm that is more aligned with the cycles of nature. 

 

In my practice I invite you to pause - to slow down - to turn inwards - so we can tenderly attend to the pain underneath the coping mechanisms. The therapeutic space I offer is an invitation for us to ask the difficult questions & learn how to trust your own wisdom once again. Together we will take an intentional journey towards love & connection, whilst recognising the struggles of living within oppressive and destructive collective systems.

Hi, I’m Oliwia

IFS Somatic Psychotherapist, Writer & Space Holder

I offer you a space for you to explore life's complexities and struggles. I believe in a holistic psychotherapy approach that integrates all parts of you (mind-body-spirit). I hold spaces informed by the experiences of individual and collective trauma - so we can recognise the impacts of both: our own life experiences, as well as the collective suffering that impacts on our own wellbeing. To do this I integrate a mix evidence based psychotherapy modalities such as IFS, Somatic Psychotherapies and Jungian perspectives. Outside of this I am guided by spirit, the Earth and ancestors. 

 

Healing should not be complicated. We shouldn't need thousands of techniques to manage symptoms. I'm here to slowly guide you back to yourself.
